My English is poor so I can't explain my feeling.
Tiananmen also known as The Gate of Heavenly Peace is the entrance to the Forbidden City. It was from here that Mao Zedong declared the founding of the People’s Republic of China on 1 October 1949. His portrait hangs above the gate.
Tiananmen Square was the scene of a brutal government crackdown on democracy protestors in the summer of 1989.
